Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) owns and operates its own fleet of 140 regular school buses plus one 21-passenger bus, one 33-passenger bus, and three 17-passenger buses which are equipped for extracurricular trips. Approximately 4,000 students are transported daily to 22 PWPSD schools. Transportation also offers cooperative busing to Grande Prairie and District Catholic students in the Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Spirit River areas.

PWPSD manages one of the largest transportation systems in the province of Alberta. Each day, approximately 100 school bus drivers travel more than 14,225 kilometres in a total service area of 16,159 square kilometres.

PWPSD's Transportation garages are located in both Grande Prairie and Spirit River. Safety is undoubtedly PWPSD's highest priority. A regular and thorough maintenance and inspection program is in place to ensure the fleet is mechanically safe.

For transportation to run smoothly, everyone must work together – school staff, employees, parents and students.
