Support Services

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) Support Services are made up of three teams:
  • Mental Health Professionals Team
  • Peace Collaborative Services Therapists
  • Wellness Team

Mental Health Professionals Team (Tier III Services)

The PWPSD Mental Health Team is made up of three Mental Health Therapists who provide tier three mental health supports to students, staff, and families. Mental Health Therapists work independently and as a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based interventions that support the overall mental health and wellbeing of children and youth within the Division.

Peace Collaborative Services Therapists

Peace Collaborative Services (PCS) is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who provide supports such as assessment, consultation, and intervention for student who require specialized services to promote their educational success.

Wellness Team

Every school within our division has a Community School Liaison Counsellor (FCSS or PWPSD) who if focused on supporting the positive mental health or both students and staff. Services can include:
  • Universal wellness supports
  • Student supports for classrooms or small groups
  • Individualized supports for students experiencing increased stress, adjustment problems, and mental health distress
  • Supports for staff
 
The Family Support Program is intended to support families that require education, support, and skills to better understand their child(ren), build connection, and promote positive outcomes.
