Employment Opportunities

Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to over 6,000 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools, and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.
Please note that we have recently undergone a transition and all employment opportunities are now posted and managed online. Positions will be posted as they become available, and interested applicants are asked to create a free online portfolio in order to apply. No emailed, faxed or hand-delivered resumes will be accepted.
After your account is created, you will be able to apply to any available employment opportunity. Once you have applied to a position successfully, it will appear in your Job Application Log. Be sure to sign up email Job Alerts.

Substitute Teachers

Substitute Teachers
PWPSD is accepting applications for Substitute Teachers for the current school year. Please refer to the PWPSD Substitute Teacher Application Checklist below. Apply in person at PWPSD Central Office.

Automated Dispatch System

In February 2021, PWPSD implemented an Automated Dispatch System (ADS) for substitute teachers. Once an application for substitute teaching has been approved by Central Office, a substitute teacher is added to the Division's Active Substitute Teacher list. Please note: Substitute teachers must complete the Registration Procedure (below) in order to receive callouts.
Please refer to the ADS Orientation and Quick Reference Guide below to learn more about the ADS System.

HR Work Board

PWPSD's HR Work Board Module enhances the existing ADS to provide job offers to substitute teachers through the Self-Serve Portal. Substitute teachers can browse and accept available openings through the web portal, and set up email and text notifications for jobs that meet their preset preferences.
Please refer to the HR Work Board Guide below to learn more about this module.
