Harry Balfour School and Beaverlodge Regional High School are excited to announce new assistant principals for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

Harry Balfour School (HBS) is happy to share that Mrs. Maryanne Buck, who is currently Assistant Principal in a temporary role, has accepted the permanent position. Mrs. Buck says she is thrilled to continue her role at HBS and is looking forward to moving to the brand-new school. “I am so excited for our new school and can’t wait to welcome all our Bengals, new and returning, to our new home.” She adds she is excited to welcome familiar faces from Whispering Ridge Community School as some families transition to HBS for the upcoming school year.

Staff at Beaverlodge Regional High School (BRHS) are proud to welcome Mr. Myles Edgar to its administration team this fall. Mr. Edgar, who earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta, has been teaching at BRHS since graduating in 2005. Starting his BRHS journey as a practicum student, he says the past 19 years have flown by, and is looking forward to the changes and challenges that come with a new position. “As a Phys. Ed. teacher and coach, I constantly preach teamwork, and I am excited to join this incredible admin team and collaborate with our amazing staff.” He says he couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to take on the assistant principal role amongst the BRHS students, in the community that has meant so much to him.
