Hop on the Pow Wow Trail

Pow Wows are “sacred social gatherings held by many
North American Indigenous communities. It is an event to
dance, sing, socialize and honour traditions and culture
of Indigenous Peoples.” - Pow Wow 101
Everyone is welcome to attend Pow Wows. Check out this Pow Wow 101 guide for information
about etiquette at Pow Wows. For the area, first up this month is the Peace River Pow Wow on
June 4-5. There are many other Pow Wows and celebrations taking place here and in Alberta
throughout the summer. Check out this Pow Wow calendar.
