Green Shirt Day – Honouring the “Logan Boulet Effect” on organ donor awareness and registration

About Green Shirt Day:

After Humboldt Bronco defenceman and registered organ donor Logan Boulet succumbed to his injuries on April 7, 2018, his parents offered to donate his organs so that six lives could live on. As news of this selfless act spread, it is estimated that almost 150,000 Canadians registered to become organ donors in the days and weeks that followed, leading to what has become known across Canada as the “Logan Boulet Effect”.

Beyond wearing a green shirt, the movement encourages participants to click the “Register Now” button at https://greenshirtday.ca to register with your provincial organ and tissue donation registry.
