Inspiring all learners to become confident, collaborative and ethical citizens motivated with a passion to achieve a sustainable future.

Welcome to Jr. K and Kindergarten –
Online registration opens March 2

PWPSD will open Kindergarten online registration on March 2.

Trustee Anderson reported on the PWPSD Communications Committee meeting held on January 11 that largely focused on planning for Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year.

Families with a child turning five in 2021 should mark Tuesday, March 2 as the opening of Kindergarten online registration at 19 Peace Wapiti Public Schools. Online registration will be accessible via the registration link found on the PWPSD website, www.pwpsd.ca, and on all school websites. A birth certificate and proof of residency are required for registration.

This year's advertising campaign will include a community mailer, mini-billboards, newspaper and radio advertisements, and promotion through PWPSD and school social media channels and newsletters. New this year is an iPad draw, open to those who register their child for Junior Kindergarten or Kindergarten by March 31st. The draw will take place in October.

During the meeting, the Communications Committee received a presentation on ThoughtExchange software. Committee members also discussed the possibility of hosting a virtual General School Councils meeting, tentatively scheduled for March 30. More information will be shared with School Councils and parents as planning progresses.
