Did you know that Peace Wapiti Public School Division's bus drivers are all commercial drivers and must abide by the same rules and regulations as other commercial drivers (e.g. truck drivers)? In addition to the semi-annual inspections done by our own Transportation department, the Alberta Sheriffs also conduct random inspections of our busses and drivers. These can include ensuring all certifications are up-to-date, that all the bus's lights are working correctly and even breathalyzer testing! If you see these activities taking place, please be aware this is simply part of the inspection being conducted.
